Good morning!

School is out, and summer is here. We’ve been soaking up the longer days and flexible summer schedule. One thing I do in my business during the summer is to take a step back and ensure that I have the right tools and resources.

Your Small Business Updates and Tips

Taxes — Don’t forget that the deadline for quarterly estimated taxes is June 15. You can find more information here on the IRS website.

Banking — Speaking of the IRS, one of the most important things you can do in your business is to keep your personal and business funds separate. However, finding the right banking options for your small business can be challenging.

If you’re looking for a free online checking account, be sure to check out Relay. You can find my review of Relay Bank on my blog or YouTube.

If you’re looking for a credit card for your business, there are two that I use in my business. First is the new Capital One Spark business credit card. This card offers a $500 reward after spending $4,500 in the first three months. The second is the Chase Ink Biz credit card.

ToolsAppsumo is one of my favorite resources for lifetime deals on software. You can test your purchase for 60 days and get a refund if it’s not a good fit for your business. From June 11-15, Appsumo is running the biggest sale of the year. If you’re looking for software to help you automate processes in your business, be sure to check it out. One product that looks promising for e-commerce is this chat software.

I’ll be around working with my bookkeeping clients. Hit reply and let me know how your summer is going.

Talk soon.
